GRANT OPPORTUNITIES

FSEOG GRANT
(Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant)

You must be enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit hours to receive this grant. Your payment will not be adjusted.

FEDERAL PELL GRANT

Federal Pell Grants usually are awarded only to undergraduate students who display exceptional financial need and have not earned a bachelor's, graduate, or professional degree.

NORTH CAROLINA COMMUNITY COLLEGE GRANT (NCCCG)

NCCCG is a state grant (available to students who have not earned a bachelor’s, graduate, or professional degree) that provides funding to North Carolina residents enrolled in a community college who demonstrate limited or no eligibility for Federal Pell Grants. Eligible students must also:

  • Enroll for at least six (6) credit hours per semester in a curriculum program
  • Be a North Carolina resident for tuition purposes as defined by the State Residence Classification Manual

CHILDCARE GRANT

The ACC Child Care Grant is a grant funded by the state of North Carolina to assist currently enrolled students with their daycare expenses. It is meant to serve as partial and temporary child care funding while the student is enrolled in classes and is meeting the grant requirements. Funds are paid directly to state licensed day care centers for children between the ages of birth-12 years old.

LESS THAN HALF TIME/TARGETED ASSISTANCE GRANT

Alamance Community College receives a very limited amount of funds from the State of North Carolina.  The rules of eligibility are determined by the State Board.  Typically Alamance Community College holds these funds to assist students with summer classes, since in most cases other grants are not available.

LONGLEAF COMMITMENT GRANT

The Longleaf Commitment is a grant program for 2020, 2021 and 2022 North Carolina high school graduates who will attend one of our state’s “Great 58” community colleges starting in the Fall 2021 semester. High school students may be eligible to receive this grant – not a loan – for tuition and fees toward a degree or to attain transfer credit.
