ASSOCIATE IN ARTS - TEACHER PREP

UNIVERSITY TRANSFER

This program provides a solid foundation in general education while also focusing on the specific knowledge and skills necessary for a career in education.

Students in the Associate in Arts – Teacher Preparation program will take a variety of courses in subjects such as English, mathematics, science, social sciences, and humanities. These courses are carefully selected to fulfill the general education requirements of four-year colleges and universities, ensuring a seamless transfer of credits for students who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in education or related fields.

 

In order to complete the Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation degree at Alamance Community College, students must earn 60 hours of college credit in the categories listed in the table.

All students must complete at least 28 hours from the Universal General Education Transfer Component list of courses.

  1. Once you become an ACC student, meet with an ACC Academic Advisor and discuss your long-term goals.
  2. Connect with the transfer institution of your choice, and familiarize yourself with their transfer requirements.
  3. Keep your grades up and make sure to use ACC's Transfer Guidebook to help you be successful.
