What is Mentoring?

A mentor is a peer guiding and supporting fellow students in their academic, social, and personal growth.  

Mentoring is a structured and trusting relationship that brings people together through support and encouragement.

The focus of mentoring is on BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS.

 

Who Can Be  A Student Mentor?

Experience-Based Support: 

Peer mentors have overcome challenges similar to those faced by mentees, such as:

  • Adjusting to a new school
  • Managing exam stress
  • Developing effective reading and study skills
  • Balancing multiple commitments

Equipped with Wisdom

  • They draw from personal experiences and advice from previous mentors.

Training and Resources:

  •  Peer mentors will receive training.
