This 18-credit hour certificate will provide students with the conversational skills,
                                 written  skills,  and  the  cultural  background  knowledge  needed  to  effectively 
                                 communicate in Spanish in the workplace, community agencies, etc. All of the courses
                                 in this program are part of the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement and can be used
                                 to help satisfy graduation requirements for A.A. and A.S. degree programs. All prerequisites
                                 must be met and the student must have at least a 2.0 overall grade point average in
                                 order to receive this certificate.
                            
                        
                           
                           This certificate program prepares students to work as paraprofessional Spanish interpreters,
                                 facilitating oral communication between people in various community settings such
                                 as hospitals, schools and service agencies. This certificate is offered by Workforce
                                 Development / Continuing Education through a combination of curriculum and non-curriculum
                                 courses.
