STEPS TO ENROLL IN A FULLY ONLINE, FOR-COLLEGE-CREDIT PROGRAM

Give yourself plenty of time to enroll based on when you want to start classes — know when classes start and when you can register for classes. If you are new to Alamance Community College, or are returning after a year or more and need advising, complete the following enrollment steps. If you are not sure, contact admissions.

Step One
Find Your Online Program

Review our list of fully online programs.

Step One
Determine Your State Residency

Your residency status determines how much tuition you pay.

Check or establish your state residency here.

The residency determination must be done prior to your application submission.

Step Three
Submit Your Application

Complete the online admissions application.

Choose an Academic and Career Pathway.

Students interested in transferring to a four-year college/university should enroll as a degree-seeking student in the University Transfer program of choice.

Step Three
Submit official transcripts to Student Records

Degree seeking students must request and submit an official, final high school transcript or high school equivalency scores.

Students who have earned an Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college or university may waive this requirement if transcripts documenting higher degrees are received.

If you are seeking transfer credit or need prerequisite verification, submit an official transcript for colleges/universities attended.
Step five
Placement Testing

Some students may need to take the college’s placement test to determine English and math course placement.  Placement and/or course eligibility is primarily determined by high school GPA after the high school transcript is received.  Such things as higher degrees, ACT/SAT scores, or transfer credit may exempt you from testing.

To determine if placement testing is needed, call 336-506-4270 or visit the College’s Placement Testing page.

Step five
Set Up Your Alamance Community College Account and Activate Your Email

You will receive your account information in the ACC welcome packet by email.
