Graham, N.C. – Alamance Community College (ACC) proudly celebrated the official ribbon cutting of its new Public Safety Training Center on Thursday, September 25, 2025, marking a major milestone in the College’s commitment to workforce training and community safety. Local leaders, elected officials, and community partners joined ACC faculty, staff, and students to commemorate the occasion.
The new facility will serve as a hub for training future first responders, providing state-of-the-art classrooms and hands-on training spaces for law enforcement, fire, and emergency services. The Training Center provides a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on, real-world practice. Features include:

A 15,000-square-foot classroom building with modern technology and flexible spaces.

A 14,000-square-foot indoor firing range for safe, year-round weapons training.

A multi-story training tower for realistic emergency simulations.

An emergency vehicle driving pad pavilion to prepare students and professionals for high-pressure driving scenarios.
At the ceremony, ACC President Dr. Ken Ingle reflected on the significance of the moment, “This Training Center is more than a building, it’s a promise,” said Dr. Ingle. “It’s a promise that ACC will continue to support the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our community. By investing in their training, we are investing in the safety and future of Alamance County.”
The Public Safety Training Center will play a vital role in preparing the next generation of first responders while also supporting ongoing training for local agencies. With advanced facilities and opportunities for hands-on learning, the center will strengthen the public safety workforce and enhance the well-being of the entire community.
