Alamance Community College’s Cybersecurity Program Ranked #2 in the Nation

Graham, N.C. -  Alamance Community College (ACC) is proud to announce that the Cybersecurity Associate's Degree program has been ranked #2 in the nation in Cybersecurity Guide’s 2026 ranking of top cybersecurity associate programs.

This recognition places ACC among an elite group of institutions shaping the future of digital defense and confirms what students and employers already know: ACC is all in on preparing tomorrow’s cybersecurity professionals.

Cybersecurity Guide, a leading authority dedicated to connecting tomorrow’s cybersecurity workforce with today’s best education and training opportunities, evaluated programs based on rigorous criteria. To be ranked, colleges had to:

  • Offer a cybersecurity associate’s program
  • Be recognized as a Center for Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity
  • Demonstrate strong graduation, retention, and admission rates
  • Maintain accessible tuition costs

From these factors, 25 top schools were identified — and Alamance Community College earned the #2 spot nationwide for delivering exceptional and accessible cybersecurity education.

“Being ranked #2 in the nation affirms that Alamance Community College is delivering the real-world skills employers need to defend today’s digital infrastructure,” said Debra McCusker, Department Head of AI and Information Technology. “We’re proud that our program of study is helping to meet the national demand for cybersecurity talent.”
