Alamance Community College is celebrating a major milestone in student engagement and access this summer, with enrollment increasing by 20% compared to the same term last year, marking the most significant seasonal growth in recent years.
While the College has experienced consistent year-round enrollment gains, the Summer 2025 term stands out as a substantial leap forward, signaling strong community demand and student confidence in ACC’s programs, scheduling flexibility, and career-aligned pathways.
“It speaks to the momentum we’re building as a college and our ability to adapt to the needs of our students. Whether they’re starting their journey, continuing through summer, or coming back later in life, students are choosing ACC as their path forward, and we’re proud to meet them there,” said Dr. Ken Ingle, President of ACC.
The increase reflects ACC’s efforts to expand course offerings, improve scheduling flexibility, and launch targeted communications to returning and new students. It also aligns with the College’s broader strategic focus on workforce development, transfer readiness, and access for adult learners and dual-enrolled high school students.
“We’ve worked hard across divisions to make summer not just an optional term, but a meaningful one,” said Justin Snyder, Senior Vice President of Student Learning & Workforce Development. “More students are taking advantage of summer to accelerate their progress, pick up in-demand skills, or explore new academic and career opportunities. This growth shows we’re moving in the right direction.”
The enrollment increase comes as ACC continues to invest in student-centered initiatives, including flexible online and hybrid options, expanded advising, and program pathways designed to reduce time to credential or degree.
