LEAN/SIX SIGMA SERIES

Training designed to provide organizations with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively implement continuous quality improvement processes in the workplace.


 

  • Prerequisite – Yellow Belt Certification or credit by exam
  • Attend Green Belt Section 1 & 2 training and successfully complete all coursework
  • Pass course examination
  • Company approved Lean Six Sigma Project and presentation – complete and submit for review during required 6 month (6 hours/1 hour each month) project review class
  • NCSU Project Review/Certificate Cost: $100

  • Prerequisite – Green Belt 1 & 2
  • Attend Black Belt Section 1 & 2 training and successfully complete all coursework
  • Pass course examination
  • Company approved Lean Six Sigma Project and presentation complete and submit for review during required 6 month (6 hours/1 hour each month) project review class

COURSES

Basic Lean Six Sigma concepts and methodologies are explained and illustrated. Participants learn about value creation, waste and basic lean tools specifically as they relate to processes. This training utilizes hands-on simulations that provide participants with the ability to implement concepts learned. 9 hrs. Prerequisite: None. Cost: $73

Course provides orientation to Lean basic history, concepts and improvement process. Training focuses on how to apply and develop Kaizen and Lean principles for minimizing the amount of time and resources used in work processes by eliminating waste and defects. Yellow Belts participate as a core team member on subject matter expert (SME) on a project or projects. They gather data, participate in problem-solving exercises, and add their personal experiences to the exploration process. Not only do Yellow Belts learn the skills necessary to identify, monitor and control profit-eating practices in their own processes, but they are also prepared to feed that information to Green Belts and Black Belts.

Green Belts lead and execute process-level improvement projects and participate as a team member and partner in Black Belt projects. They work with process owners to ensure project gains are held. This course will teach you the tools and skills you need to: plan and complete your Lean Six Sigma certification project; work on teams led by Lean Six Sigma Black Belts; and help your organization implement Lean Six Sigma effectively. 36 hrs. Cost: $378 (Reg. $128 / Text $250)ACC White Belt Training – Basic Lean Six Sigma concepts and methodologies are explained and illustrated. Black Belts are trained to identify, implement processes to maximize an organization’s return on investments. They utilize two powerful methodologies, Lean and Six Sigma for reducing waste, speeding up processes, and determining root cause of problems. They are full-time leaders, change agents, and practitioners of Lean Six Sigma.


Prerequisite: Company Approved Project, Green Belt 1, 2, Black Belt 1

Hours: 60

Class activities focus on Six Sigma Project planning and development. Black Belt instructor serves as mentor to Project formatting.
