Tutorial Services

Alamance Community College provides FREE tutorial services for all ACC students to support and supplement the instruction received in classes.

These tutorial services are a part of the ACC Learning Resources Center, but they provide different and differing educational supports than those the Library provides on the main campus.

open lab tutoring, drop-in, no appointments

Tutoring Center
one-on-one tutoring, scheduled appointments, drop-in (in-person or synchronous online)

Writing Center
one-on-one tutoring, scheduled appointments, drop-in (in-person or synchronous online), and e-tutoring (asynchronous document review)

Coming January 2023: Alamance Community College has contracted with an outside company, ThinkingStorm, Inc., for new online scheduling and tutoring software platform to be used by ACC tutors and ThinkingStorm tutors. ACC tutors will be on campus, online, and available for asynchronous review of papers. TS tutors will be online only for chat-tutoring 24/7, 365 days per year and asynchronous review of papers. Each ACC tutoring center will be using this new software platform.
