UNC Wilmington

University Transfer Agreement

In 2007, Alamance Community College signed a bilateral articulation agreement with UNC-Wilmington. It guarantees that a student receiving an associate’s degree in arts or science from ACC with at least a 3.0 grade point average will be accepted as a junior providing other qualifications are met.

UNCW seeks transfer students who are academically curious and willing to immerse themselves in their community of scholars and global citizens. Seahawks are the leaders of tomorrow, shaping their futures today as they Transfer to Teal and Dare to Soar!

Early Childhood Agreement

UNCW has an articulation agreement with ACC that governs the transfer of credit between the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Early Childhood Education and Bachelor of Arts degree in Education of Young Children.

Applicants must have earned the AAS in Early Childhood Education with a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale), and must declare their major at UNCW to be Education of Young Children. If the major is changed, applicants will lose the Early Childhood Education credit. The AAS in Early Childhood Education DOES NOT satisfy UNCW’s University Studies requirements and students must make sure they do so in order to fulfill UNCW’s graduation requirements.
