Alumni, students and supporters from across the county—and beyond—are invited to pay tribute to the role Alamance Community College plays in education and the community during the fifth annual ACC Day on August 20.
The annual event is an initiative of the ACC Alumni Council and coordinated by the College’s Advancement Office.
During the weeklong campaign, friends, supporters, and alumni are encouraged to show pride for Alamance Community College by placing ACC yard signs around the entire county the week of August 14-20. Signs must be removed by August 23.
A popular activity each August invites alumni and friends of the school to put their ACC pride on display by taking photos holding ACC Day placards. The College will feature these photos on social media and on its web page: accday.org.
The initiative also includes a photo contest for ACC alumni in the following categories: ACC Alumni Who is Farthest Away; Most ACC Alumni in a Single Photo; and Most Creative Use of the ACC Otter Mascot.
Topping off the day on August 20 will be ACC Night at the Stadium, a partnership with the Alamance-Burlington Schools. An ACC alumni booth will be on-site at Southern Alamance High School during its game against Graham High. Fans are encouraged to stop by the booth manned by ACC alumni and student ambassadors to receive college paraphernalia.
