Radiography Certificate Program: University Transfer Option

Students who want to pursue a career as a radiographer should complete the Associate in Arts (AA) degree.  The AA degree can be used to meet the requirements for the Radiography Certificate Program at UNC-Chapel Hill (UNC-CH). Students will need to complete the required prerequisite courses for the Radiography Certificate Program as part of their degree at ACC.  Students, while working with an ACC advisor, should reference the required courses when developing the student’s course schedule.  The required courses are as follows:

BIO 111
BIO 163 –or- BIO 168 and BIO 169
MAT 171

Note: Successful completion of an AA degree or the prerequisites does not guarantee admission to the program.  Students will need to meet the specific program requirements to be accepted into the program.  Students also must complete the required courses with a grade of “B” or higher with a preferred completion within the past five years; and students must complete the degree from ACC with a 2.8 GPA or higher. Click here for more information on the minimum requirements for the program.

Note: The Radiography Certificate Program accepts applications every other year.  Students who want to apply for the program should be aware of the start date and admission requirements. All interested students should contact the program to understand program requirements and the requirements to be a competitive candidate.
