Brain Awareness Week

The Social and Behavioral Sciences Department along with the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives sponsor Brain Awareness Week each year. Our goals for this week are 1) to make students aware of how amazing their brains are, 2) to encourage students to keep their brains healthy, and 3) to stress the past contributions and future importance of neuroscience research.

This year, Brain Awareness Week will be held from March 25-March 29.  During the week, Dr. Honeycutt, Ms. O’Sullivan, Ms. Cook, and members of Sigma Psi will be doing “test your brain” activities as well as handing out literature about the brain and keeping your brain healthy. We will have Brain Awareness Week buttons, stickers, and pencils with brain erasures for those who test their brain. Come out and see how amazing your brain is! We will be in the Student Commons on Monday and Wednesday from 2:15-3:15 and Tuesday and Thursday from 11:15-12:30.

We plan to have a showing of a documentary during the week so stayed tuned for details!
