Single Stop
Do you need help?
What if you could get started in just 15 minutes right here on campus?
Alamance Community College’s Single Stop program connects students to the non-academic resources they need. Our goal is to help students manage issues outside of the classroom that may impact their academic success.
These issues can be related to:
- housing and food insecurity
- health
- finances
- legal concerns
- & many others
By helping to navigate government, community, and ACC resources, students can focus more of their time and energy on their coursework (and less time worrying about all the ways that “life happens”).
ACC Single Stop uses specially designed software to complete benefit screenings in about 10-15 minutes. This information is then used to narrow down the resources students are most likely to obtain. By using a targeted approach, we cut down on time wasted chasing resources and focus on getting access to available resources as quickly as possible.
