General Education Competencies Committee

The General Education Competencies Committee identifies the general education competencies expected of ACC graduates upon graduation. Currently, the committee has identified four areas of competencies including quantitative analysis, information technology, communication/interpersonal, and critical thinking/problem-solving skills. The role of the committee is to define the skills listed above, determine how to best assess and measure them, and incorporate the results into future curriculum development activities. Results are ongoing and will be included in the College’s Southern Association of Colleges and Schools – Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC) reaffirmation processes.
