Cosmetology requires advanced knowledge of scientific and artistic principles. Additionally, cosmetology can be applied to a wide variety of careers such as influencer marketing, nail and makeup technology and more.

Alamance Community College is aware of these diverse career offerings, which is why our Cosmetology program is a competency-based curriculum taught in a salon setting to perfectly emulate the career experiences of a cosmetology professional.

Working alongside our skilled and licensed faculty, you will be prepared to pass the State Board of Cosmetic Arts examination and thrive as a cosmetology professional.

Cosmetology graduates earn $9-$18 hourly, and around $21,000 per year after five years of experience.
