Learn more about Biotechnology.

Our center for biotechnology is much more than a science program. It’s meant for curious students who want to explore the genetics of everything around them.

You’ll learn transferable skills, study thought-provoking problems and maybe even “fiddle” with living organisms. Our coursework focuses on biology, chemistry, mathematics and technical communications to ensure you’re ready for industry or research settings.

There are increasing demands for skilled laboratory technicians in biological and chemical technology fields. At ACC, you’ll have the opportunity to do hands-on work in state-of-the-art facilities, including a cell culture lab, bioprocessing lab and DNA lab. Each student gains more than 700 hours of accumulated lab time before graduating.

Biotechnology graduates earn $30,000-$35,000 yearly in entry level positions.
