Gee Building Water Break Alert
Updated October 29, 2020:
Repairs and renovations continue in the Gee Building following the Oct. 25 burst water line incident. The College’s goal is to complete this work by Nov. 11.
The single most impacted area is our Student Success office on the first floor. The plan for Student Services is to close Financial Aid and Admissions to foot traffic through Nov. 11.
Appointments and consults will be conducted remotely, much as they have been in recent months. Phones will be answered and messages will receive responses. We will move placement testing to lab space in the Main Building.
Updated October 27, 2020:
Portions of the College’s Gee Building will remain closed Wednesday 10/28 as work crews continue repair work following Sunday night’s water pipe burst and flooding issues.
The Financial Aid and Admissions areas on the 1st floor will be closed on Wednesday.
The Corporate Education area on the 2nd floor will be closed entirely, likely into next week. Students are asked to avoid that area as well. The Executive Suite side – ACC Foundation offices, President’s Office, board room – will continue operations.
Repair work will continue through the end of the week and likely into next week.
College leadership will assemble Thursday morning to discuss next steps and Gee Building access.
