Adult Literacy
Welcome to Academic & Career Readiness!
We know it is not always easy to decide to come back to school. We want to make your experience at Alamance Community College (ACC) a good one.
We help students work on many different goals, including:
- learning to read
- improving math skills
- learning to speak English
- earning a high school equivalency
- improving computer skills
- studying for the US citizenship test
- training for a better job
- preparing for college
Click here to watch a video of some of our current students and what our program has meant to them.
We offer many options that include: morning, evening, and Saturday classes, online learning, and a mail-in program. Classes are held at the main Carrington-Scott campus in Graham, the Dillingham Center in Burlington, and various off site locations.
The first step in coming to any of our programs is to schedule an orientation. We offer opportunities to start classes almost every week. During the orientation you will learn about our programs, obtain student success tips, take an assessment test, and be placed into an appropriate class.
Academic & Career Readiness (Graham campus) hours of operation:
Tuesday – Thursday from 8 am – 8:30 pm
Monday & Friday from 8 am – 5 pm
Saturday (by appointment) from 8 am – 12 noon
