Guidelines for HRD classes
Human Resource Development (HRD) classes can help students enhance their resume, market themselves, and explore a new career. HRD courses provide employability skills training and assistance for adults who are trying to find employment, transitioning back into the workforce, or working to redefine their professional niche in today's global market. HRD courses are FREE to those who meet any one of the following four criteria:

You have received notification of a pending layoff

You are working and eligible for the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit

You are working and earn wages at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines

Basic Google Docs & Sheets (Online)
Basic Google Docs & Sheets
Google Docs - Learn to create documents, format text by creating paragraph form and setting line spacing, create headers and footers along with sub headers. Tables and charts will be used within the document. Learn methods for inserting charts that automatically update within the document. A review of how to share the document and protect the document while sharing.
Google Sheets - Learn how to input and format data, formulas, functions and tips for sharing your spreadsheets and collaborating on them with your team. Students do not need previous experience with word processing programs or Google to succeed with this course. Instructor: J. Jones

Excel in the Workplace
MS Excel is the most commonly and most important tool abundantly used in workplace especially corporate setups. Excel is a prominent tool utilized and offers a range of features that can assist one in daily operations involved in office work. Students will learn to demonstrate on the job proficiency in creating and managing worksheets/workbooks, managing data cells and ranges, creating tables, performing operations with formulas and functions and creating charts and objects. Intro to Graphic Design
Intro to Graphic Design - face to face
Graphic design and information visualization are all around us. Words, pictures, charts, and maps are the elements that convey messages and influence decisions in both the digital and print worlds. This introductory class will teach you the principles of graphic design – proximity, alignment, repetition and contrast – and the tools you can use to create informative and compelling visualizations. You will be introduced to the main Adobe Creative Suite graphic design and online tools that can be used to create charts, maps and interactive graphics. Instructor: Andrea Martin

Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Prep - (face to face)
This class will introduce the standard MS Office programs used in most businesses: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and One Note.
