Animal Care

Throughout this course, students will gain hands-on training in dog grooming. This is an introductory course that will cover topics such as anatomy, animal behavior, safe handling, grooming tools and techniques. Grooming techniques such as bathing, brushing, and drying will be covered along with clipper and scissor instruction. NEW! Handling and Restraint

Throughout this course, students will gain hands-on training for handling & restraint of agricultural animals, domestic animals, lab animals, and reptiles. This is an introductory course that will cover topics such as animal behavior, safe handling & restraint, discuss tools of restraint, and proper handling techniques of animals who are either frightened, injures, confined, diseased or trapped. Wildlife Rehab

This course is intended for anyone who works with animals and has a serious interest in rehabilitation. Upon finishing the course, students will fill out paperwork for a state permit to rehabilitate animals as well as have the opportunity to join the Wildlife Rehab Inc. non-profit organization if they so choose.
