Throughout this course, students will gain hands-on training for handling & restraint of agricultural animals, domestic animals, lab animals, and reptiles. This is an introductory course that will cover topics such as animal behavior, safe handling & restraint, discuss tools of restraint, and proper handling techniques of animals who are either frightened, injured, confined, diseased or trapped. Dog Grooming - Introduction
Throughout this course, students will gain hands-on training in dog grooming. This is an introductory course that will cover topics such as anatomy, animal behavior, safe handling, grooming tools and techniques. Grooming techniques such as bathing, brushing, and drying will be covered along with clipper and scissor instruction. Dog Grooming - Advanced
•Students must have either successfully completed the introductory course or have permission from the instructor to register for this class
This "hands-on" course will help you take the next step to advance your grooming skills including drying techniques, clipping, and scissoring. You will learn breed specific patterns and understand body types for creative styling.
You will also learn how to effectively speak with owners to understand their individual wants and needs for their dogs.

Backyard Chickens
This course will take students through the raising of layers and broilers (meat birds) on a small scale. Topics will include small flock housing, incubation, nutrition, production practices, processing, and marketing of poultry and poultry products. Instructor: Jerry Hackney. Wildlife Rehab
Wildlife Rehab
This course is intended for anyone who works with animals and has a serious interest in rehabilitation. Upon finishing the course, students will fill out paperwork for a state permit to rehabilitate animals as well as have the opportunity to join the Wildlife Rehab Inc. non-profit organization if they so choose.
