This class is for homeowners or budding green industry members, and can be completed from the comfort of your own home! You will gain an understanding of how plants are named and classified! After gaining this knowledge, you will start digging in to learn how to identify many of the common landscape plants of central North Carolina. Once you have this knowledge you will be amazed at how many plants you see and know! This 5-week course will have about 2 hours of material presented online each week. Because it’s done asynchronously, there will not be a specific time you are required to sign on during the week, which allows it to fit to your schedule. This course is designed for homeowners or budding green industry members to gain an understanding of houseplants that can be used to brighten up and purify indoor spaces! Participants will learn about culture requirements, identification, and proper care for houseplants. The course will help you to become a successful houseplant parent. It will meet for 10 weeks with approximately 2 hours of material presented online each week. This class will teach you the ins and outs of many common types of plant propagation, and will cover the differences between sexual and asexual methods for this propagation. You will learn how to successfully begin multiplying your plants easily from within your home. This 5-week course will have about 2 hours of material presented online each week.
