1. What is new student orientation?

New student orientation is a program designed to prepare first-year students for their first semester at Alamance Community College.

2. Do I need to RSVP for new student orientation?

It is not necessary to RSVP for the event.

3. What will I do at new student orientation?

At the new student orientation, students will have an opportunity for campus tours, learn how to get involved on campus, meet faculty, and connect with campus resources.

4. Can parents or family members attend new student orientation with me?

Parents or family members are welcome to attend the orientation session.

5. Where will new student orientation be held?

Orientations are held on the Carrington-Scott campus. Check-in is located in the Main Building.

6. Is there a fee for attending new student orientation?

There is no fee for attending the new student orientation.

7. Will I be able to meet with an advisor during the new student orientation session?

Orientation is not an advising/registration event. Students are provided numerous other opportunities to meet with an advisor in order to register for classes.
