(February 14, 2022) – Mark Gordon, President of Alamance Regional Medical Center, was sworn in on February 14 as the newest member of the Alamance Community College Board of Trustees. Gordon is filling out the unexpired term vacated by Craig Thompson.
Gordon has been President of Alamance Regional Medical Center and a senior vice president with Cone Health since April 2020. He came to Alamance County after serving as CEO of Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, Virginia. Over more than 30 years, his career has provided experience as head of various medical facilities, including a tenure at Duke University Health System.
Gordon earned his Bachelor of Science degree in health policy administration from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, and his Master of Health Services from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. There he was a Foster G. McGaw Scholar. His postgraduate studies include executive education in health care delivery at Harvard University’s School of Business and Wake Forest University.
