The Alamance Community College Foundation has announced the names of five new board members whose terms began January 1, 2021. They are Susan Ezekiel, Rachel D. Hughes, Martha Krall, Brendle Leggett, and Glenda Yount.
SUSAN EZEKIEL, CPA, President and Managing Partner, Cobb Ezekiel Loy & Company, P.A.
Susan Ezekiel joined the accounting profession in 1983 after graduating Magna Cum Laude from UNC-Greensboro. She became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1985 and a Shareholder in 1991. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the NC Association of CPAs. Ezekiel has also earned the AICPA’s Certificate of Educational Achievement in Governmental Accounting and Auditing, and Taxation. Her community service activities include: ACC Accounting Advisory Committee Member; and Treasurer and Board Member for Twin Lakes Community. She has three children, one of whom is a student at ACC.
RACHEL D. HUGHES, SHRM-CP, Human Resources Operations Manager, Walmart Distribution Center
Rachel Hughes began her career in human resources at American Express in Greensboro, NC more than 15 years ago. She has experience in onboarding, engagement, employee relations, and performance management. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Human Resources from Strayer University. Prior to her current position, Hughes worked as HR Director at Electrical Technologies, Inc. where she partnered with ACC and the NC Association of Electrical Contractors to implement an apprenticeship program. She recently transitioned to a new role at the Walmart Distribution Center in Mebane as the HR Operations Manager for the site. She serves on the board of the Human Resources Management of Greensboro and United Way of GSO-HR Committee.
MARTHA KRALL, Retired
Martha Krall is a native of Bogota, Colombia and has lived in Switzerland, Brazil, and New Jersey. She retired in 2007 after a public service career, which included working in the U.S. Embassy in Bogota, working with USAID/Peace Corps in Bogota, serving for 25 years as the Director of Membership Services for Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey, and founding and managing an after-school program. She was the recipient of a Fellowship from the Kellog Foundation to work on a three-year Youth Development project in Brazil and Central America. She has worked on several local boards, including Alamance Partnership For Children and the Alamance County Women’s Resource Center. She is currently a member of the United Way of Alamance County’s Community Impact Team and serves on the boards of Impact Alamance and the Latinx Health Network.
BRENDLE LEGGETT, Staffing Manager, Prime Personnel Resources, Inc.
Brendle Leggett has been employed by Prime Personnel Resources, Inc. since 2010. She is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She helps her clients as they navigate through recruiting and human resource challenges. Leggett also has experience with workers’ compensation claims, unemployment compensation claims, EEOC claims, employee investigations, employee benefits, payroll, social media management, and marketing and business development. Her volunteer roles include President of Alamance County Human Resources Association; Board Member of United Way of Alamance County (2013-2019); and Board Member, Alamance Chamber (2014-2016).
GLENDA YOUNT, Faculty Liaison, English Instructor, Alamance Community College
Glenda Yount has been an instructor at ACC since 2011. She is a graduate of Appalachian State University, with both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in English Education. She is a steady supporter of the ACC Foundation and served for many years on the Employee Giving Campaign Committee.
