(Aug. 25, 2020) – ACC is proud to introduce the ACC SAFE app to our students! This is an app for mobile devices that will ask each student to complete a simple survey before they come to the campus. The survey is meant to identify any COVID-19 risk factors.
Students who answer these questions will see a green check mark if there are no signs of risk. Students will see a red X if a risk is detected. Students will be required to share that survey result with instructors prior to entering a classroom. If there is a suspected problem, that student will be referred to the College’s Health Educator.
This feature is not meant to be intrusive. It is meant to keep our College community as safe as possible. Information submitted in this app will be shared ONLY with limited College officials, including our Health Educator and Public Safety team.
This information will be used to determine whether additional cleaning and other response actions (including relevant notifications) need to be taken on campus. It is being stored confidentially and securely, and will not be included in an official medical, student, or employee record or file.
By way of a reminder, we have established the following ways for our College community to communicate with the Health Educator/Public Safety regarding COVID-19: by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the hot line at 336-269-9599.
