Workforce Development Instructor of the Year Recognized

Carolyn Rhode, Executive Director of the ACC Foundation, presents a plaque to Jerry Williams, Basic Law Enforcement Training instructor, upon his selection as 2019-2020 Workforce Development Instructor of the Year.

A lieutenant with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, Jerry Williams earned his associate’s degree in Criminal Justice at ACC, and served as a student ambassador. He has taught for more than ten years in the College’s Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program and teaches several hundred hours of instruction each year. In addition to his certification as a general instructor, Williams is specialized in teaching Firearms and Subject Control. He also teaches in the Detention Officer Certification Program and the annual mandated in-service classes for law enforcement officers.
