Full-Time Positions

POSITION:         Accounting Technician

LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT:                 Full-time, 12 - month contract

SALARY:       Based on College’s salary plan, commensurate with

 education and work experience.   Starting Salary Range: $2,743-$3,318 /monthly.

DATE OF EMPLOYMENT:  January 4,  2010 or as soon as possible thereafter.


QUALIFICATIONS:  Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED;

supplemented by college level course work or vocational training in accounting;

supplemented by 5 months previous experience and/or training involving

accounts payable and payroll; or any equivalent combination of education,

training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and

abilities for this job. Candidates should be very comfortable with desk-top computers,

proficient with Microsoft Office, familiar with computerized accounting systems, and

willing to assist students and other employees.

Oral and written communication skills should be strong.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will function as a member of a team performing

accounting and clerical work in support of the College’s Business Office.

The Business Office’s responsibilities include but are not limited to payroll,

accounts payable, account receivable, cash receipting, budget management, and

financial reporting. Cash handling is required. Working closely with students and

other College employees this position will execute various processes and will use

computer and manual systems to enter, retrieve, review, modify, and file data.

Other tasks will be performed as assigned.

POSITION:         Administrator, Colleague System

LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT:                 12 - month contract

SALARY:       Based on College’s salary plan, commensurate with education and

work experience.  Starting Salary Range: $3,969 - $4,749 (monthly)

DATE OF EMPLOYMENT:  December 7, 2009, or as soon as possible thereafter.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Required: Associate degree with emphasis in information systems, networking and computer operation.  UNIX system operator experience and the ability to operate in a command line environment; 3+ years experience in programming and user support.  Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the job. Preferred:  Hands on experience with Datatel Colleague and the NC/IIPS systems; or experience with Solaris and AIX Operating Systems; networking, and experience with UNIDATA. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Share responsibilities for the College’s Datatel Colleague and IIPS systems, manage security, generate reports, assist users with hardware and software problems. Import and export data between Datatel, WebAdvisor and IIPS systems.  Other duties include but are not limited to Solaris OS administration, backup, recovery, network  and CISCO administration and any other duties assigned by the Director.  Occasional night and weekend work required.  This position reports to the Director of Information Services.

Part-Time Positions

Required: A master’s degree in the related field of study or a master’s degree in any field and 18 graduate credit hours in the subject matter.

 

Developmental English & Math Instructors:

 

Required: A bachelor’s degree in the subject matter or related field of study.

 

Teach all assigned courses which may include, work hours both day and evening.

 

Photography Instructor:

 

Required: Associate degree in Photography or minimum 5 years of work related experience. Working knowledge of all facets of photography using digital SLR camera and photographic related software.
