The Golden LEAF Foundation has provided more than 7,859 scholarships totaling more than $24 million since 2001. The Golden LEAF Scholarship Program was created to benefit students from rural North Carolina and their families. The Golden LEAF Foundation supports projects and programs to help transform the state’s economy from one based largely on agriculture and traditional manufacturing to a diverse economy consisting increasingly of value-added agriculture, advanced materials, aerospace, and other technology-based industries.

While most of these scholarships were awarded to ACC students who live in Alamance County, three are residents of Person County and three reside in Caswell County.
