English Department News:

Changes in Developmental English and Reading Beginning 2009-2010

Course offerings for developmental English have changed from ENG 075, 085, and 095 which combined reading and writing to separate classes in reading (RED 070, 080, 090) and writing (ENG 070, 080, 090). A student's reading placement score determines placement in the reading courses and the writing placement score determines placement in the writing courses. This means that students will have more focused instruction in the areas they need most.

ENG 090 and RED 090 must both be completed (or exempted with the placement test) in order for a student to take ENG 111.
