Dual Enrollment

The Dual Enrollment program at Alamance Community College enables qualified students (age 16 years or older) who are enrolled in North Carolina high schools, North Carolina private schools, or registered North Carolina home schools to take up to two courses at ACC each semester for college credit or personal enrichment. ACC awards college credit only. Whether or not high school credit is awarded is the decision of the receiving high school.

Dual enrollment students must have the approval of their high school principal or designated school official as well as their parent/guardian. Tuition is waived for students in the dual enrollment program; however, textbooks must be purchased. Students must meet all course prerequisites in order to enroll in classes at ACC. Dual enrollment students are not permitted to enroll in developmental courses at the College.

Dual enrollment students may not register prior to the College's official registration day each semester. Interested students should submit an online application as well as a completed dual enrollment form to the admissions office.
