NOTE: Separate procedures apply for Literacy courses.
You may register any time through the first day of class. Registering early reserves your spot in the most popular courses.
There are four easy ways to preregister:
- Walk-In: Come in person to either the main (Graham)campus or the Burlington Center.
- By Phone: Have your credit card ready and call the number listed in the Course Schedule with the course. The registration form may be mailed separately or completed at the first class meeting.
- By Mail: Please print the registration form from the link on the left, complete, and mail it with your check or money order to ACC, Office of Continuing Education, P.O.Box 8000, Graham, NC 27253.
- By FAX: Please print the registration form from the link on the left, complete, and FAX the form to (336) 506-4318 or 578-1987.
Make checks payable to Alamance Community College. A $25 processing fee will be charged on a returned check.
Continuing Education: GENERAL INFORMATION
REFUNDS
The State Refund Policy is:
- A 100 percent refund shall be made upon the request of the student if the student officially withdraws prior to the first class meeting. Also, a student will receive a 100 percent refund if the course is canceled
- After the course begins, a 75 percent refund shall be made upon the request of the student if the student officially withdraws prior to or at the 10 percent point of the course.
- For contact hour courses, a 100 percent refund shall be made upon the request of the student if the student officially withdraws prior to the first class meeting. After the course begins, a 75 percent refund shall be made upon the request of the student if the student officially withdraws prior to or on the tenth calendar day of the course.
COURSE CANCELATIONS
A course may be canceled due to insufficient enrollment. If a course is canceled, students will receive a full refund.
ATTENDANCE AND CERTIFICATION
For a classroom course, the minimum attendance to be eligible for an ACC certificate is typically 80 percent. Some professional courses may have a higher standard. For an online course, students must score at least 80 percent on their final exam to be eligible for a certificate from ACC.
