Online courses provide a convenient alternative for those students whose schedules or physical limitations make it difficult to attend class in a regular classroom setting. In addition, they are a terrific alternative for people who like to work at their own pace. Continuing Education has three groups of online courses:

  1. www.ed2go.com/alamance

These online courses begin every month and last six weeks. They may be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection. Lessons may be accessed any time of the day and any day of the week. Each course consists of 24 hours: two lessons per week for six weeks; each lesson lasting about two hours. Some of the more than 200 courses include Access, A+ Certification, CGI Programming, FrontPage, Creating Web Pages, Java Programming, Advanced Web Pages, PC Troubleshooting, Quickbooks, Visual Basic, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Grantwriting A to Z, Start Your Own Consulting Practice, Magazine Writing, Medical Terminology, and business-related certificate programs such as Project Management Principles, Customer Service, Business Applications, and Purchasing.
